um

the graphics were amazing, but they were just graphics... i'd like to see you put your considerable talents towards actual animation, please?

wow

speechless. absolutely.

no wait. yes, it's very good. but seeing as how the randomness of the humor worked so well, i woulda preferred some random backstory as opposed to just all of a sudden, fighting. i mean, i've seen THAT before coughXiaoXiaocough, so if you were gonna do something really original, you should add that as well

oy, but that sound...

the animation was quite good, defintely above average, but the sounds were terrible... i either recognized them immediately from where you got them (the AOL sound), or they were way too overdone... it was really annoying to hear, and detracted from the great graphics.

ha, if i did that when i'm bored

i'd be a millionaire. but i gotta admit the best part was the audio... where did you get those sound effects?

yay

more radioheadness! this is a great improvement from your earlier radiohead video, although some images were stil a little cliche (closeup on the eyes, hanging body, blood, etc). keep working on original images (even the fiery head was pretty cool). keep it up!

yay!

more radiohead songs used for deep flash videos always equals good. feel free to check out my serious radiohead movie as well, Ending: http://www.newgrounds.com/port al/view.php?id=29925

pretty good

pretty good on its own, but the idea itself isn't original, and the style is way too reminiscent of the Big Mistake and Killing People For Fun series on Newgrounds.

awesome

you're on your way to being a great animator, all right. I'm striving to be an animator/filmmaker myself (i'm going to the University of Southern California in LA for film school next fall)

not bad

decent music video, things moved a little slowly however. Not that I'm asking for something frantic, but something more hard hitting would have been more impactful.

my main comment regards the images. This is an extremely personal movie, it seemed, and I would have preferred images that weren't so cliche. Blood, bats, skulls, explosions, tears, these are all images we've been conditioned by society to fear and consider as depressing. But unless you were actually poked by pitchforks or have your house blow up, I refuse to believe images that were more concrete wouldn't have made this a much more artistic movie. I think the reason you decided to use those would be so other people would relate, but we all know that's not really the point. If it was, you'd make a XiaoXiao movie or something. Anyway, I think I made my point. Original, concrete imagery/symbolism. It's the lifeblood of actual, good poetry (read a poem by Ginsberg or Rimbaud and try to find something cliche), and it should be the same for serious films.

This was just a one off, i wanted to try something new, something serious and it had little vision. I think im gonna stick to lighter things in the future. Thanks for your review.

um

pretty simplistic, more like. and i have a problem with how anakin has more of a british accent than obiwan did. otherwise, nothing's original.

Rob-D responds:

You should try to appreciate the fact that none of the characters were british. Yup, I'm just a texan trying my best to play the voices of 10 characters.
You should also appreciate that I took the time to respond to this review, I hardly ever do that. I must be bored.

I can only try to have people view me as I would like them to view me, and animation is a step in that direction.
