[Mystery Gift]

i wouldn't expect anything less

one of the most narratively dense works on newgrounds, from one of its most celebrated animators. Great job. My only complaint was the repetitive music. Ambient sound is great, but only if it's in the background of actual sound effects.

you know, there are a lot of other ways of conveying sadness than suicide. And honestly, if you don't elaborate on how this person didn't get the girl, then I'm just led to believe that he just had a random crush and wouldn't go out with him, and that's definitely not grounds for suicide. I don't feel sad for the guy, I feel pity.

the file size was huge... take a look at the films in the top 50, they are all much smaller than this. your audio is taking up much too much of the file size, and it wasn't good audio to begin with. Last Resort as the song itself (whether it's a good song at all or not) wasn't very appropriate, and the animation itself was too slow. I didn't want to see what happens next because of suspense, but because it was taking too long.

it was alright

but it seemed to have just been trace-bitmapped off of a scene from the movie... if you'd hand traced it, it may be cooler.

art could be better, but the animation is spot-on. If you have time, go and edit each one of those tween symbols and add more detail (but not necessarily color, mind you), and this would look great. more luck in the future.
